Orange — money management app brings personal spending and shared expenses together. I built the Flutter app and NestJS backend, including:
- Expense tracking, equal/percentage/custom splits, and local drafts with Hive.
- Friends, groups, event budgets, balances, and settlement records.
- Gemini receipt scanning that prefills an editable expense form.
- Direct/group chat with expense and settlement cards, plus spending summaries and category/time-based insights.
Engineering work includes integer minor-unit money calculations, split rounding, independent loading states, authenticated API access, and receipt uploads deferred until save. Current mobile chat uses REST; the backend also includes a Socket.IO gateway. Rewards and subscription screens remain previews.
