The Web release notes stopped at 3.177.5. Web 3.189.0 is live in production (founder, 2026-10-13). Web and the API are one product, so these notes cover both.

Release notes

  • 3.183.0:
    • Tessa charges for the conversation itself, not the fixed instruction block sent with every request.
    • Refusals say whose allowance ran out.
    • Invitations must be accepted.
    • Billing fixes.
    • Real API status codes, a 31-day range limit on trace and log queries, rate limits, and the token exchange endpoint.
  • 3.189.0 (covers 3.184.0 to 3.189.0):
    • Snapshot and the "Around this span" and "Around this log" tabs.
    • The Moment API.
    • A breaking change to grid graph nodes: per-instance nodes are gone, identity.instance is null, metrics.scope is own, and anchorId and level are removed.
    • Refused (429) requests now count as errors.
    • Node billing is rounded down.
    • Fewer third-party scripts.

Security fixes appear only as one generic line, "Security fixes to grid access and data isolation.", per founder ruling (Friday #4868, #5267). That covers PRs 3951, 4233, 3934, 4449, 4450, 4333, 4473 and 4556. Folding the last five is pending Friday's confirmation on #5273.

Snapshot page

docs/DC/Web/Features/snapshot.md, linked from Features and the Features nav. It describes the view as 3.189.0 builds it. PR 4552 rebuilt the earlier Moment view as Snapshot in 3.187.0, so no Moment page is published. There are no screenshots while its styling is reworked (PBI 3663).

What the gate corrected (verified against the code at each tag)

  • The Moment API's figure tiles are always withheld at 3.189.0. This is now a known issue rather than an implied capability.
  • The services list is built from spans only. The notes say "traces", not "telemetry".
  • The token exchange endpoint answers with OAuth error codes. Only creating a personal access token returns a plain 403.
  • The time range picker turns a custom range of exactly 15, 30 or 45 minutes into "Last N minutes". The page's advice on sharing links and comparing periods says so.
  • Retention: the Snapshot UI's "30-day retention" message is fixed text. The code uses each grid's trace retention setting, with a 24-hour fallback. The page quotes the text and states no figure as policy (Friday #5281).

Verification

  • mkdocs build --strict, check-meta-descriptions and check-redirect-parity pass locally.
  • C2 docs gate (Steelman, Constitutional, Devil's Advocate, then LLM-as-Judge), no Critical findings: 3.183.0 at 0.92, 3.189.0 at 0.920, Snapshot at 0.922.

The Web release notes stopped at 3.177.5. 3.189.0 is live in production
(founder, 2026-10-13), so two entries:
- 3.183.0: Tessa charges for the conversation, not the fixed setup;
invitations must be accepted; billing fixes; API status codes, limits
  and the token exchange endpoint.
- 3.189.0 (3.184.0 to 3.189.0): Snapshot and its tabs, the Moment API,
a breaking change to grid graph nodes, refused requests counted as
  errors, node billing rounded down.
Security fixes appear only as one generic line, per founder ruling
(Friday #4868, #5267).

docs/DC/Web/Features/snapshot.md: the Snapshot view as 3.189.0 builds it,
linked from Features. No screenshots while its styling is reworked
(PBI 3663). The UI's "30-day" retention text is quoted as fixed text, not
stated as policy (Friday #5281 open).

Every claim verified against the code at the tag. C2 docs gate: 3.183.0
0.92, 3.189.0 0.920, Snapshot 0.922, no Critical findings.
