What & why

This fixes cpu/intel/…/intel-xeon-x5698.json, the only record that breaks a hard Tier 0 rule (!boost_ge_base, forced red).

Field Was Now
boost_clock_ghz 1.0 (below the 4.4 GHz base) 4.53
release_date 2013-06-01 2011-01-01
path 2013/enterprise/ 2011/enterprise/ (the year folder must match release_date)
  • Boost: Wikipedia's Westmere-EP table gives the X5698 a multiplier of 33 (4.4 GHz at 133.33 MHz) and turbo bins of 0/1. The top turbo is therefore 34 × 133.33 MHz ≈ 4.53 GHz. That is the same calculation behind its siblings' stored values: X5690 at 3.73 and X5687 at 3.86.
  • Date: the same table dates the part "Q1, 2011". The record now uses the first day of that quarter. 2013 came from the Kaggle dataset and is two years late.

Closes #296

Source

List of Intel Xeon processors (Nehalem-based), "Westmere-EP", Dual Core: model=Xeon X5698 | cores=2 | l3=12 | mult=33 | turbo=0/1 | tdp=130 | date=Q1, 2011. The record already cites this page. Intel never gave this off-roadmap part an ARK page.

Checks

  • The bundled validator and the engine validator pass, the latter with --changed-since develop.
  • integrity_check.py --strict reports no hard anomalies.
  • Tier 0: the record moves from red to green, so the dataset has no hard violations left.

Checklist

  • The PR targets develop (main only moves through release PRs)
  • python -m app.validate passes locally
  • Files live at the correct data/<category>/<...>/<slug>.json path
  • Slugs are kebab-case and unique within the category
  • source_urls cites at least one canonical reference
  • Sidebar filled in by hand. Projects needs the gh project scope, and Copilot is out of quota, so it was reviewed by hand.

boost_clock_ghz was 1.0, below its 4.4 GHz base: Tier 0's only hard violation (!boost_ge_base). Wikipedia's Westmere-EP table gives multiplier 33 and turbo bins 0/1, so the top turbo is 34 x 133.33 MHz = 4.53 GHz, computed the same way as its siblings (X5690 3.73, X5687 3.86).

release_date was 2013-06-01; the same table dates the part Q1 2011, so it is now 2011-01-01 and the file moves from 2013/ to 2011/ as the path rule requires.
