Researcher studying platform governance, information integrity, multilingual AI, migration, and public communication through critical digital and computational methods.
I am a Fellow at the Center for an Informed Public at the University of Washington. My research examines platform governance, AI-assisted content moderation, Trust & Safety, internet shutdowns and digital sovereignty, journalist safety, diaspora and transnational media, immigrant information environments, nonprofit and institutional communication, and emerging questions of AI-mediated translation and language access.
My work uses quantitative, qualitative, computational, and mixed-method approaches, including statistical analysis, computational text analysis, classifier audits, web scraping, interviews, ethnography, archival research, discourse analysis, and digital trace data.

I also curate the African Media & Communication Research Library, a public Zotero collection supporting research on African media and communication.
These repositories contain code, data, documentation, annotation materials, research instruments, and reproducible workflows from published and ongoing research. Where appropriate, published datasets and archival releases are deposited separately with persistent identifiers and linked from the relevant repository.
