+Dr Sveinung Gundersen (University of Oslo - ELIXIR Norway) is giving a talk on the aims and preliminary results of the “FAIRification of Genomic Annotations WG” in RDA, which is nearing completion.
+Gundersen will also reflect on the broader process of forming and running a domain‑specific RDA Working Group. He will share experiences with proposal development, international coordination, stakeholder engagement, and navigating the RDA ecosystem, including our experience as a pilot WG of the RDA TIGER project. The talk will highlight what has worked well, what has been challenging, and what might be useful for others considering similar initiatives.

+Dr Sveinung Gundersen is a Senior Engineer based at the Department of Biosciences at the University of Oslo. He holds a PhD in Bioinformatics and an MTech in Computer Science, specialising in statistical functional genomics and FAIR data infrastructure. He is currently developing Omnipy, a Python package to automate complex data integration and enforce FAIR standards across research pipelines. Sveinung has been a member of ELIXIR Norway since the project's very beginning in 2014.
