Four fixes reported while using rexplorer as the daily file manager.

  • File list: click-and-drag does not box-select multiple items #5 Box selection: in Details view, a drag that starts on a row's other columns (Date, Type, Size) draws a selection rectangle, as in Explorer. A drag from a name still drags the item, and a click on any column still selects the row.
    • The press reaches the ListView with full-row select off, so the ListView treats it as blank space.
    • A short timer that fires inside the marquee loop turns full-row back on, so the rectangle takes whole rows.
    • A press released without a drag is replayed as a normal click.
  • Delete on Home's cloud (OneDrive) recent files fails with 0x80004002 #3 Delete on Home's cloud files: Home's OneDrive recent files report neither SFGAO_CANDELETE nor SFGAO_FILESYSTEM, and the shell's delete verb failed on them with 0x80004002. Delete now beeps instead, and the command bar's Delete is disabled for such a selection.
    • Home's local recent files report only SFGAO_FILESYSTEM and still delete.
    • File system folders skip the check, so Ctrl+A in a huge folder stays cheap.
  • New tab (Ctrl+T / +) opens the current folder instead of the start location #6 New tab: Ctrl+T and the tab strip's + open the start place instead of duplicating the current folder.
  • A new launch reopens the last session's tabs instead of the start location #4 Launch: a plain launch opens the start place, as Explorer does. View and pane widths still come from the session, and --recover (crash restart) still restores the tabs.

Verification

  • cargo build --release with -D warnings; cargo test --release passes (78 + 79) on a scratch %APPDATA%.
  • Drove the release exe on a scratch %APPDATA% and a 30-file folder with synthetic mouse and keyboard input:
    • A drag from row 2's Date cell to row 6 selects rows 2–6.
    • A click on a Date cell selects that row.
    • A drag from a name drags the item.
    • Del recycles a file.
    • Ctrl+T opens Home.
    • A plain relaunch opens Home, and --recover restores the tabs.
  • Not driven: single-click mode with a click on a Date cell.

…place

- Details view: a drag that starts on a row's other columns draws a
selection rectangle, as in Explorer; a drag from a name still drags
the item and a click still selects the row (#5).
- Delete does nothing (with a beep) and the command bar's Delete is
disabled when a selected item is neither deletable nor a file system
item, such as Home's OneDrive cloud recent files, on which the shell
  failed with 0x80004002 (#3).
- Ctrl+T and the tab strip's + open the start place instead of the
  current folder (#6).
- A plain launch opens the start place; only --recover restores the
  previous session's tabs (#4).

Fixes #3, fixes #4, fixes #5, fixes #6.
