I have been using cap for a bit the last couple days with the latest version (0.6.0) and I have been noticing when i record my browser window, the quality seems to be on the softer side and not as crisp if I use Cleanshot to record the video.
In cap I have set the rendering settings on max and recording settings on the highest quality but in the image below you can see on the left Cap and on the right Cleanshot.
For information, I'm using Cap on the latest macos version connected to a TV which i'm running 2560x1440 120Hz on standers (no HiDPI enabled)
(btw, in the image it is 2 quicktime players from the recording output of cap and cleanshot)
