Why the change

After 取消配对 in the Workspace drawer, a computer should be gone from the phone: not in the list, no channels, no notifications, no way to open its conversations. Vain saw an unpaired computer remain on the XS Max Release of main (28d81b5), and asked that a page left open on that computer and its channels/activity are handled too.

Refs #2409, #2412

Special things to note

  • Merge risk: low, JavaScript only, no native change. Every new step runs after the host is removed from the saved list, and each one is best-effort, so it can't block the unpair.
  • Root cause of the row staying is not yet confirmed. A Node test that drives the real hostSession.unpair removes the computer from the list and SecureStore, both when it is the shown computer and when it isn't. A Simulator repro (offline, already-revoked computer, ⋯ menu and long-press) is queued. On iOS, an unpair failure used to be swallowed silently by the Alert wrapper; it now shows 取消配对失败:…, so if the device run hits a real error we will see it.
  • Verification:
  • Android: the same hostSession.unpair code runs on Android. The Android dialog awaits the action, so it already showed errors inline; the new error dialog replaces that. Notification dismissal and quick actions use the same Expo APIs on Android. I checked this by reading the code; no Android device was run.

Change outline

hostSession.unpair(hostId) now, after removing the host:

  • deletes only that computer's cached conversations (clearHostConversationCache). Before, it wiped every computer's cache, and only when the shown computer was unpaired.
  • drops its recent-chat home-screen shortcuts (forgetRecentChats).
  • resets the Chats/Activity environment filter to all if it pointed at that computer, so Activity doesn't show an empty, unavailable scope.
  • pushSession.forget dismisses the computer's delivered notifications and clears the app badge once no computer is left.
  • returns { current, revoked }.

UI:

  • Drawer: unpairing the shown computer dismisses any pages stacked above the tabs; failures are shown.
  • ConversationScreen remembers which computer it opened on. If the session moves to another computer (for example, the shown one was unpaired while this DM stayed in the stack under a Cloud page), it shows sourceChanged instead of quietly loading the other computer's same-slug Bot.

No new UI surface, so there are no screenshots.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Unpairing a computer now removes its notifications, cached conversations, recent chats, and home-screen shortcuts.
    • The environment filter resets when it targets the removed computer.
    • Open conversations no longer switch unexpectedly to another computer’s Bot.
    • Removing the active computer now dismisses relevant screens and provides clearer error feedback.
    • Notification badges are updated correctly as computers are removed.
  • Tests
    • Added coverage for computer-specific cleanup, conversation caching, recent chats, and notifications.

Unpairing now drops the computer's cached conversations, delivered
notifications (and the app badge once no computer is left), its recent-chat
shortcuts, and an environment filter that pointed at it. Unpairing the shown
computer from the drawer closes pages stacked on top, a conversation screen
no longer re-binds to another computer after the host changes under it, and
an unpair failure on iOS is shown instead of being swallowed.

📝 Walkthrough

Unpairing now removes host-specific cached conversations, recent chats, and notifications. It resets the conversation filter when it targets the removed host’s environment. The conversation screen validates the host source, and the drawer handles unpair results and errors.

Changes: Host Unpair Cleanup

Layer / File(s) Summary
Host-scoped cache and chat cleanup
apps/mobile/src/host/native-cache.ts, apps/mobile/src/ui/shell/recent-chats.ts, apps/mobile/test/conversation-cache-host.test.ts
Cache and recent-chat helpers identify entries for a host and remove matching entries. Tests cover host-specific cache matching and host ID extraction.
Unpair orchestration and notification cleanup
apps/mobile/src/host/host-session.ts, apps/mobile/src/host/push-session.ts, apps/mobile/test/host-session-unpair.test.ts, apps/mobile/test/push.test.ts, apps/mobile/tsconfig.json, tsconfig.json
Unpairing reports whether the removed host was current, clears related cache, chat, and filter state, and updates notifications. Tests cover host removal and notification cleanup.
Conversation and drawer behavior
apps/mobile/src/ui/chat/conversation-screen.tsx, apps/mobile/src/ui/shell/host-drawer.tsx, changes/2464-unpair-clears-computer.md
The conversation screen validates against the initially opened host when no expected host is supplied. The drawer handles unpair results and errors. The release note describes these changes.

A conversation opened while hosts are loading can later switch computers without showing the source-change warning. Fix the initial host capture before merging, or accept this bounded risk.

They import Expo-backed modules, whose ProcessEnv augmentation breaks the
root project's Node tests, like the other native-importing mobile tests.

screen to capture the first defined saved.hostId after useHostSession finishes
loading, while preserving the initial value thereafter. Ensure shownHostId and
the source-change guard use this captured host identity so later host changes
cannot rebind silently.

A conversation opened before the saved Computers finished loading kept no
Computer, so a later switch could still re-bind it silently.
