Conversation
A getting-started guide for running Game Day Scoreboard on the M-1, an automation that flashes your lights when your team scores, and a Game Day Scoreboard entry on Choose Your Firmware and the introduction. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
WalkthroughThe M-1 documentation adds the Game Day Scoreboard as a firmware option. It includes setup instructions, Home Assistant integration details, and an example automation that flashes a light when a team scores. ChangesGame Day Scoreboard Documentation

| [Game Day Scoreboard](https://github.com/ApolloAutomation/gameday-scoreboard-main) turns the M-1 into a live sports scoreboard for your team: the next game, the live score and clock, and a splash in your team's color when they score, across the NFL, college football, MLB, the NBA, the WNBA, men's college basketball, the NHL, MLS, and the Premier League. It reads the scores from ESPN by itself, serves its own settings page, and shows up in Home Assistant as an ESPHome device. It needs a **Rev6** controller. |

Present the Rev6 requirement as a prerequisite callout.
Move the Rev6 requirement into a note admonition so readers see this hardware prerequisite when they compare firmware options.
As per coding guidelines, “Flag must-know info with admonitions (note for prerequisites).”

| 2. Click **Add** (or **Configure**) and confirm. The firmware has no API encryption key, so there's no key to enter. |

Warn readers that device settings and updates are not protected by a password.
The firmware README says that any device on the Wi-Fi can change settings, updates have no password protection, and the panel should not be exposed to the internet. (github.com) Line 88 only explains that no API key is needed. Add a warning to keep the panel on a trusted network and not forward its ports.

… automation to one game The automation now flashes only when the same game is still live, so a switch between favorites or live games never flashes, and it reads Game Status after a short outage. Basketball is called out, since the panel only celebrates the win there. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
What does this implement/fix?
Adds Game Day Scoreboard, Apollo Automation's live sports scoreboard firmware for the M-1 (ApolloAutomation/gameday-scoreboard-main), to the M-1 section:
products/m1/setup/getting-started-m1-game-day.md): flashing it from the Game Day installer (Rev6 only), Wi-Fi from the installer or the panel's hotspot, picking a team on the device page, adding it to Home Assistant, adopting it in ESPHome Device Builder, updates, the WizMote, and going back to WLED.products/m1/examples/game-day-score-lights.md): a Level 3 automation that flashes a light when the followed team scores, using the Game Status entity. It flashes only when the same game is still live and the followed team's score went up, so a switch between favorites or live games never flashes, and basketball (a score on nearly every play) is called out. The template was checked in Jinja's sandbox against the firmware's Game Status formats: kickoff, live, halftime, final, either team scoring, a game switch, a new opponent, and the "not updating" suffix after an ESPN outage. No Homey pages: the guides depend on Home Assistant (the ESPHome integration, automations, Device Builder), so they don't apply to the Homey tree beyond the shared Choose Your Firmware and Introduction text.
Publish timing: the guides link the Game Day installer at apolloautomation.github.io/gameday-scoreboard-main, which goes live with the firmware's first Apollo release. Hold the dev to main sync for this content until that release is out.
