The Node.js CI build was failing on `main` with "Module not found: Can't resolve 'ai-agent'" because: 1. `actions/checkout@v4` did not initialize submodules, so `packages/Open-Poe-AI/packages/agents` (the file: dep target for `ai-agent`) and `packages/Vibe-Workflow/packages/workflow-builder` (target for `workflow-builder`) did not exist on the runner. 2. The pinned commits for `packages/Open-Poe-AI` and `packages/Open-AI-Design-Agent` were unreachable upstream (force-pushed away or GC'd), so `submodules: recursive` alone would still fail with "not our ref". 3. Even after checkout, the `file:` deps expose `dist/` (declared as `main`/`module` in each package's package.json) but the submodules only ship `src/`, so the packages must be built before `next build`. Changes: - Bump the submodule pointers to current upstream HEADs of both Anil-matcha/Open-Poe-AI (0e9f0c2) and Anil-matcha/Open-AI-Design-Agent (e179fe1); record `branch = main` in .gitmodules so future updates track the branch. - Add `submodules: recursive` to the checkout step. - Add `npm run build:packages` before `next build` to compile workflow-builder, ai-agent, and studio into their dist/ outputs. Verified locally: `npm ci && npm run build:packages && npm run build` completes cleanly across all 18 routes. With the build now passing, the next workflow step failed with "npm error Missing script: \"test\"" because package.json has no `test` script defined. The failure was masked before because the build never got that far. Use `--if-present` to match the pattern already used for `build`.
