RangeBox

An Ashita v4 addon for HorizonXI that displays the exact distance to your current target in large, easy-to-read color-coded text.

Features

• Floating distance display — freely draggable and resizable window
• Sub-target priority — automatically switches to show distance to your sub-target (purple/blue cursor) when active, falling back to main target otherwise
• XYZ math — calculates true 3D distance for absolute accuracy
• Color-coded ranges based on standard FFXI action distances:
  • Green (≤ 3.0y) — Melee range
  • Cyan (≤ 15.0y) — Short spell / ability range
  • Yellow (≤ 21.5y) — Standard magic / ranged attack range
  • Red (> 21.5y) — Out of typical action range

Installation

1. Download the latest release zip and extract the rangebox folder into your Ashita/addons/ directory:

   HorizonXI/Game/addons/rangebox/
   

2. In game, load the addon:

   /addon load rangebox
   

Commands

Command	Action
/rb toggle	Show / hide the window
/rb lock	Toggle drag/resize lock
/rb size <n>	Set font scale (0.5–8.0, default 3.0)
/rb alpha <n>	Set background transparency (0.0–1.0, default 0.75)
/rb reset	Reset position, size, and scale to defaults
