Revert TOML 1.1 syntax #161

Description

@pawamoy

Description

As reported in zensical/zensical#860, TOML 1.1 is not widely supported in the ecosystem. We risk having users copy-paste examples from our docs and thinking this is broken syntax, reporting it in our bug trackers or getting confused. Formatters can even corrupt the syntax if they don't support TOML 1.1, leaving the user with actually broken TOML. We should wait for the authoring ecosystem to be more ready before embracing TOML 1.1 in our bootstrapped configuration file and our documentation examples.

Proposed change

We should revert our latest changes regarding configuration examples, and watch from afar how the following components evolve to support TOML 1.1:

  • Taplo / Even Better TOML (VSCode)
  • JetBrains TOML native support
  • TreeSitter grammars (powering Helix, neovim, emacs?)
