Bride of Frankensystem (BOFS) is a Flask-based framework for deploying custom online experiments and surveys. It handles the standard pieces of an online study—consent, condition assignment, questionnaires, page flow, participant tracking, and data export—while providing significant flexibility, allowing researchers to embed any task within their experiment that can run within a web browser.

I developed BOFS during my Master's, PhD, and postdoc. I no longer use it for my own research, but several labs continue to run studies on the framework, and sponsorship will make ongoing maintenance worth prioritizing alongside other work. Funds go toward bug fixes, documentation, new question types, and general improvements to support common workflows.
