`@rollup/plugin-babel`: Babel 8 compatibility?

Hello,

Babel 8 has just been released. I've seen an attempt to upgrade to 8.0 last year, in #1889, which has been closed as "abandoned".

Does this mean that there will not be a @rollup/plugin-babel supporting Babel 8?
