Agreed convention is that a repository named pkg-<name> should match the source package name Source: <name> in debian/control.

Maybe a source package name of qmmf would be best? Could we also call the binary package qmmf-camera-server?

I added a patch to move the check-camx-overlay.sh script to /usr/libexec/qmmf-server/.

The other issues still apply: overly generic naming of files and services; source package name; should we rename things around qmmf. I think it is not serious policy violation to block the upload to QLI, but it still needs to be addressed and sync with upstream.

Loïc Minier (@lool), Qualcomm multimedia framework (qmmf) is a legacy name, the framework does not exist anymore.
We plan to change the binary name from /usr/bin/cam-server to /usr/bin/qti-cam-server

For the lib names that are prefixed with qmmf, libqmmf*, we will need more time as the change will impact many downstream ACK's.
Is it acceptable we change the service name for now and the lib names remain the same.

Please proceed with the rename.

Let me close this issue and create separate issues for the remaining work to be done on this package, as this issue lists too many things in a single place instead of one issue per remaining problem.

I have created #32 and #33 for the renaming issues. I will check the other issues reported by Robie Basak (@basak-qcom) here and create tickets and/or fix them in the packaging as I see fit. Closing this issue in favor of the more specific ones.
