Hi @cjdg, and thanks for reporting this.

Could you share a screenshot of what you're seeing? That would help us with reproducing the issue.

As a short-term workaround, you can use the portable version of Processing instead of the Snap install:

• If you're on a 64-bit Intel/AMD system, use processing-4.4.5-linux-x64-portable.zip.
• If you're on a 64-bit ARM system (like a Raspberry Pi), use processing-4.4.5-linux-aarch64-portable.zip.
• If you're running a 32-bit system, you can download processing-4.3.4-linux-arm32.tgz here. Note: the 32-bit version of Processing has been deprecated and newer releases than 4.3.4 do not include a 32-bit build.

PS: We’ve submitted a request for classic confinement, which should help resolve some Snap-related issues.

Ok this is weird, using the portable version

, i get the same blank window, but after some time (from 3 to 5 minutes) i get the main code window.

Hi @cjdg, could you try the latest release (4.4.7) and see whether you still experience the same issue?

Well, now with the latest #snap, i still have the black window, but gets into the IDE, but maximizing the window has this artifacts, clicking on menus show them off point, also has to keep the mouse button clicked to try to select something or dissapear.

I see the same thing with Kubuntu, KDE plasma, wayland and I have also seen other Desktop Environments and Window managers do strange things with those menus.

Ubuntu with wayland works fine
