Why were there no releases of numpy-finanical in nearly 6 years, despite plenty of improvements and bug fixes?

Hi,

I recently spent some time investigating weird behavior from numpy-finanical. Eventually I discovered it was caused by the bug reported in #48 , and was quite frustrated to see it was fixed 3.5 years ago. I was not using a version with the fix, because no such version exists. I further discovered there are plenty of other improvements and bug fixes which were implemented over the years, but the package users are not benefiting from them because they were never released.
How about releasing a version?

Yeah seeing that there hasn't be a release in 7 years isn't helping for relying on this as a dependency... or contributing.

Why not, I was in the process of gathering financial functions anyway... it might be a one off to perform a release.

I can pitch in. I can also produce releases and steady release cycles as maintainer as well as review Pull requests and stuff for this repo. Is meeting on 31st a suitable one, or you would propose some other?
