Support for GC9A01 (programming and simulation)

I've ordered this display https://www.waveshare.com/esp32-s3-touch-lcd-1.28.htm today to build a display for my 3D Printer like some other projects have:

Now I'm waiting for the delivery and I discovered this awesome project. In the meantime I want do build something and saw this really neat project. I'm pretty happy it supports some sort of simulation whoch will be perfect for me, because I could build some software while wating for the order.

Do you see any chance to write a driver for this display or the built in QMI8658 6-axis IMU? I know there is a lib https://github.com/Bodmer/TFT_eSPI whoch already simplifies the process to draw on the LCD, is this possible with DeviceScript too?

I'm pretty new to DeviceScript and want to participate in this great project!
