What do you think needs to be updated?
Several pages, including the one linked above, refer to a variable PIPELINE_DEBUG in script code that is shown, but do not explain how it can be set in the pipeline. That should be explained.
A doc search for "PIPELINE_DEBUG" also does not reveal any explanation of it.
