playing with sample rate

What is difference between sampleRate and tracesSampleRate .My manual emission like Sentry.captureMessage('Hello') seem to work fine with tracesSampleRate set to 0.0 in my config but failed with both set to 0.0? Can anyone explain please ?

sampleRate is used for Error events and tracesSampleRate is used for Transaction events which are used for performance monitoring.
