I know that in the past the older versions of the IDE would launch an external browser to ask for sponsors, which was fine because it happened occasionally and if I closed the browser I could get to work on my project. I've just set up a new device and of course I installed Eclipse 2026-06 and when it started I found the sponsor request now built into the IDE, which is a nice touch. However, the problem is that now every time I start the IDE this window pops up and I have to close it so I can work. I'm figuring it's a workspace kind of thing like older versions where there was a welcome page, and I remember there being a checkbox to say, "don't show me this next time" or something like that. With this new screen there does not seem to be such a checkbox. Which makes this no longer a request for support, but a nag screen, which is very annoying. I looked through the settings to try to find where I can turn off this during startup but I cannot find this. So I'm asking here how I can disable this? |

Have you pressed the orange button? The Freeload button should the trick. Or the I’m a Sponsor button or the I’m a Contributor button. Otherwise it will keep showing you the buttons. |
