We have images of oysters from our field deployments and we need help analyzing size in the images. If you are interested, complete the following activities so we can ensure consistency in our measurements before we start with data collection.
- Read the protocol here: https://ahuffmyer.github.io/posts/2026-07-07-oyster-image-analysis-protocol.html
- Go to our training Google Folder here: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/2/folders/1TgUoPGazGd0Zf6Uv5i9ipbxJBPGVeOoB
- Download the “annotated.tif” photo file to your desktop. I have pre labeled all oysters to standardize.
- Create a copy of the “datasheet” file and add your name (see the example I did in the folder).
- Download/open ImageJ/Fiji and follow the steps in the protocol listed above to complete an analysis (start at the “add points as an overlay” step).
After everyone completes the analysis for this one image, I’ll compare our measurements to see if we need to make adjustments before doing a full analysis on all images.
