How do i get RSS feeds from Mangadex?

Mushoku Tensei

the tool should only get chapter in english ignoring other languages.
in rss title it could be: {title} - {chapter}
in rss description it could be: {scans group} - {date}

my bad for asking, but i've got no idea on how to build a parser for this site.

Well, I tried too but gave up, cuz mangadex requires both javascript and authorization to make it work and I use the nowebengine rssguard version for less resource usage

you can filter languages in your account settings then log-in, then look for .chapter-link ?

or... you could just join the TL-group's discord and get notifications there?

i'll close the issue. as Mangadex makes it difficult for this tool to get rss from.

rssguard now seem to have done something cool to now be able to get feeds from JS populated sites. have you tested if it's still not possible?

I haven't tested it since I'm using the light version of rssguard (nowebengine) without that,

but if it's now possible - then it's possible I guess?

im also using the lite version. when editing a feed -- in Source there's the option to select the built-in browser with JS support

im like the OP. i dunno how to get feeds from MD as well. i've tried the OP's manga link and then python css2rss.py ".chapter-link" but not getting through it. also, one really nees the webengine version to use that source option, and i tested getting the feed with the webengine version.

What are you expecting in .chapter-link? it's just text there and you need a link

python css2rss.py "div.chapter-grid:has(> a.items-center > img[title='English'])" ":scope > a.items-center > span" "" ":scope > a.items-center" should work, using the built-in browser.

But for some reason, on my side while fetching this feed the app hangs indefinitely, where I'm forced to hard-reset it.
So I'd suggest you to create a bug report for the RSSGuard dev to look into, if you're getting the same situation.

no. @DawEdhel is quite right. rssguards hangs even with very simple use of css2rss while trying built-in browser with JS support.

so, unless rssguard fixes that hanging, i've got no way to see a result from the command suggestions you guys provided.

1. :scope definitely works as it has been personally used successfully multiple times, so I assume :has should work as well.
2. Process manager showed the app was under max load while unresponsive, which usually showcases an infinite loop situation. As the built-in browser feature is pretty new, some bugs might still appear.
3. I've even tried your python css2rss.py "a.items-center" "!Your manga title" and I was getting the same hanging results. Something unique happens within this website, as I had already used successfully this built-in feature with another sites.
