Add "Default View" Setting for Privacy Notes

What problem does it solve?

Currently, whenever I open Privacy Notes, it shows 'All' by default.

I mostly use Privacy Notes for 'Notes', so whenever I open it, all items are displayed because of the 'All' setting.

There should be an option in the settings that allows the user to set any of these as the default view:

All, Notes, Tasks, Vault, Files, Journals, Contacts, Bookmarks

This way, users will be able to set the feature they use the most according to their own needs.

There was another suggestion close to this one recently that mentioned tabs and pinning folders/tabs. Either would be great.

You might be referring to this one I posted recently #307, but in my opinion features are differents and both might be useful.

Tab -> You have contents you choose of all types side by side
Choose default view -> You see in priority the type of objects you use the most in the grid/list, with no visual overload.

Hope both will be eventually considered because they can well complete each other, as you said. :-)

What shows in "All" can be selected. We released that recently, but didn't flex it too hard apparently. Does that feature help with the request? Feature is also accessible via Settings -> Appearance

No, what you are suggesting is a different feature from what I described.

What you are referring to is this:
In 'All', these categories are shown:

All, Notes, Tasks, Vault, Files, Journals, Contacts, Bookmarks

So, any user could choose to keep only the categories they use, to make the view look a bit better.

But what I am saying is:
If a user uses 'Notes' the most, there should be an option in the settings to set any one of these—All, Notes, Tasks, Vault, Files, Journals, Contacts, or Bookmarks—as the default view instead of 'All'. This way, every time the user opens the app, they would see the 'Notes' category directly.

Currently, whenever a user opens the app, they see 'All' first, and then they have to make a few clicks to get to 'Notes'. If a user opens the app 50 times, and has to go through this long process 50 times, they get irritated.

Privacy Notes has all these categories:

However, not every user will use all the categories; for instance, I am only using it for 'Notes'.

That is why there should be a 'Default View' option in the settings, so that the user can choose according to their needs.
