Run calibration smoke validation for Synapse SDK v1 foc-cli

Goal

Validate that the v1-compatible foc-cli works against Filecoin Calibration after implementation and unit gates pass.

Scope

Run smoke checks with a funded Calibration wallet and record commands/results.

Required smoke path:

• wallet balance
• wallet costs
• file upload flow
• dataset list/details for the uploaded data
• retrieval URL sanity check

Non-Goals

• Do not publish the package from this issue.
• Do not require exhaustive provider compatibility testing unless the smoke path exposes provider-specific failure.

Acceptance Criteria

• Calibration wallet/env prerequisites are documented in the issue or PR evidence.
• wallet balance succeeds.
• wallet costs succeeds with the v1 cost shape.
• Upload succeeds and returns a piece CID.
• Dataset list/details show the uploaded data.
• Retrieval URL is present and sanity-checked.
• Any live-network failure is documented with exact command, error, and retry/mitigation status.

Calibration smoke validation on PR #17 head 3a2d218 passed on June 12, 2026.

Prerequisites:

• Existing local foc-cli config present at ~/.config/foc-cli-nodejs/config.json (private key not printed).
• Calibration wallet address: 0xF00DCE36817586672B47480FB48C94177A97278B.

Commands and results:

• node dist/src/index.js wallet balance --json succeeded: FIL 115.416, USDFC 2.2, available payment funds 6.9659, total funds 7.1643.
• node dist/src/index.js wallet costs --extraBytes 128 --extraRunway 1 --json succeeded with v1 cost shape: newPerMonthRate: 0.048, depositNeeded: 0, alreadyCovered: true.
• node dist/src/index.js upload /tmp/foc-cli-synapse-v1-smoke.bin --copies 1 --json --debug succeeded for a 1 MiB file. Piece CID: bafkzcibeqcad6egqwuynxmfu6jof2lzkfdp65aelknasuautd4mmjgpvujkaq2ytey; dataset ID: 12524; provider ID: 4; retrieval URL: https://caliberation-pdp.infrafolio.com/piece/bafkzcibeqcad6egqwuynxmfu6jof2lzkfdp65aelknasuautd4mmjgpvujkaq2ytey; copy failures: none.
• node dist/src/index.js dataset list --json succeeded and listed dataset 12524 as live and managed.
• node dist/src/index.js dataset details --dataSetId 12524 --json succeeded and showed piece ID 33 for the uploaded CID.
• curl -L --fail --silent --show-error --range 0-31 --max-time 30 <retrieval-url> | wc -c returned 32.

Local validation also passed before smoke: bun install --frozen-lockfile && bun run test && bunx biome check src tests && bunx tsc --noEmit && bun run build && git diff --check.

No live-network failure remained.

Smoke path passed: wallet balance, wallet costs with v1 costs.rates shape, one-copy 1 MiB upload, dataset list/details for dataset 12524, and retrieval URL range check returning 32 bytes.
