I'm trying to make the characters, and when i upload a SpriteMap it says "NO ANIMATIONS FOUND" is there like, a max amount of frames?

Welp I think u should check the animation's name in the xml,and make sure the png&xml's name the same,such as exp.png exp.xml,then u should type the animation name correctly in the CE(Character Editor),anyway,there is no frame limit,you can adjust animation's fps to change the animation's speed is u have too many frames per animation.

Does anyone know how to make a certain stage sprite go to the front layer at a certain step?

I'm not a dev but you can do this in your stages .hx file if you've made one. set case to whatever step you need it to happen on and couch should be the stage objects name.
