I would say this is more a case of the GH parameter component not being supported (that and the obvious lack of warning to highlight that something is wrong)

@al-fisher, I turned this issue into a feature request as it is part of the grander scheme of including more native Grasshopper components (so will probably be transferred to Grasshopper_Toolkit as well).
